Getting your dog ready for their first boat day

A little preparation goes a long way toward a great first trip. None of this is complicated, and we will guide you through all of it before your dog’s trial day.

  1. 1

    Keep vaccinations up to date

We require current vaccinations and dogs that are spayed or neutered (over 12 months). It keeps every dog on board safe.

  2. 2

    A good walk beforehand

A short walk the morning of helps your dog arrive relaxed and ready to settle.

  3. 3

    Pack the essentials

Their usual lead and collar, and any medication they need. We provide the fitted life vest.

  4. 4

    Feed light

A lighter breakfast makes for a more comfortable cruise. There is plenty of fresh water on board.

  5. 5

    Trust the process

Most dogs settle within the first ten minutes. We move at their pace and never rush a nervous dog.
